The Park Tour Returns: 15km, Winter Miles & Good Company!

Last Sunday the 18th marked the first Park Tour run of the year for Notting Hill Running Club, and what a way to start. Wrapped up against the cold but full of post-holiday energy, a great squad turned out for our 15km intermediate run, setting off from the ever-beautiful Kensington Gardens.

From the start, the route delivered exactly what the Park Tour promises: variety, scenery, and a steady challenge. We cruised through Kensington Gardens before heading down through Chelsea, the streets quiet and crisp in the early hours. Spirits were high as we made our way towards Battersea Park, where we settled into rhythm with a couple of solid laps, keeping a comfortable intermediate pace of around five minutes per kilometre.

With the hard work done, it was time to head north again. The return leg took us back through Sloane Square and Knightsbridge, with London slowly waking up around us, before one final and very welcome stretch through Hyde Park. Tired legs, red cheeks, and plenty of smiles all round.

As always, no Notting Hill Running Club run is complete without coffee. We finished the morning exactly as we should: warming up and refuelling at Notting Hill Coffee Project, sharing stories from the run and already looking ahead to the next one.

Huge credit to everyone who came out and braved the cold, a brilliant start to the year and a reminder of what makes this club so special.

If you’re newer to running or fancy something a little shorter, we’d love to see you at our Saturday 7km beginner-level run on the 7th of February. Same friendly faces, same great vibes, just fewer kilometres.

See you out there 🏃‍♂️☕
