NHRC chasing the moon!
On a chilly Wednesday evening at the end of November, as the daylight faded and the night drew in over London, a group of Notting Hill Running Club racers headed south to Battersea Park for the iconic Chase the Moon 5K. With temperatures biting and breath visible in the air, the 7pm start had runners jogging tight warm-ups, shaking out cold hands, and feeling that familiar pre-race buzz that reminds us exactly why we love this sport.
The Battersea Park course is always fast, flat, and primed for pace, perfect PB territory. And NHRC absolutely delivered. Our runners put in some brilliant performances, pushing hard from the gun and crossing the finish with grit, sweat, and plenty of smiles. Even better, we had a wave of personal bests from the club!
Big congratulations to our stars of the night:

Every second counts in a 5K, and these times are a testament to the training, commitment, and competitive fire that’s been steadily building within the club. Whether chasing the front pack or pacing it smart from the back, everyone showed exactly what NHRC is about, community, hard work, and having fun while doing it.
There’s something special about racing midweek. No pressure, no marathon-night routine, just the pure joy of getting out, running fast, sharing the moment and maybe earning an excuse for a post-race pint.
Brilliant work to everyone who raced, supported, or cheered from afar. If this energy is anything to go by, 2026 is going to be a huge year for NHRC racing.
See you at the next finish line!
